A New Year - New Blog Post

I decided to start blogging again as a way to document our lives for family and friends and a way for me to remember all the important happenings in our crazy life.

A lot has happened since the last post in 2011, we moved from our house in Powell in May of 2011 to an apartment in Dublin for 8 months while we built our new home in Plain City.  The building process was fun, stressful, and exciting all at the same time.  The apartment (re-apartment as Kennedi called it) was very small, but enjoyed having the pool in the summer and also could walk to our favorite park in Dublin off Sawmill.  while in the apartment we also discovered we were pregnant with number 3, was an exciting time in our lives but had a lot going on with working full time, Chris's dad sick and building.

We moved into the new house in December of 2013, I was 13 weeks pregnant.  Kennedi and Tenley loved the new house and bonus is that they had built in playmates in our next door neighbors.  The day we moved into the house Chris's parents and my parents helped get us settled and cabinets full.  Chris's dad was very sick but wanted to stay one night before he passed and he got his wish and stayed twice before sadly passing in Feb 2013 from a very long and curageous battle with cancer.  My kids all have a special angel looking over them, forever in our hearts.

On June 5th, 2014 we welcomed the long awaited arrival of Mr. Hunter Homan (the last hope to carry on the family name) and he weighed in at 7 lbs 6 oz - smallest baby but also 2.5 weeks early.  I had a complicated pregnancy with high blood pressure with him which meant a lot of doctor's visits and non-stress tests.  He was born after a quick delivery and complication free - he was perfect like all our other kids.  He looks a lot like Kennedi, but also can see Tenley in  him.

He was a pretty good baby - slept decent and ate like a champ.  His sisters adored him and always fought over who would get to feed him or burp him.  Tenley would always tell people that was her baby and then kennedi would kindly reminder her that he was not her baby.   He didn't put weight on his legs until 7 months which worried us a bit, but true hunter fashion when the doctor told him he would need to do PT he started putting weight on his legs.  Since it took him so long to stand, he was delayed in sitting which I believe was around 8 months.  He quickly learned to crawl around 9 months and was walking at 15 month.  He was a very late walker compared to the girls - Kennedi right at a year and Tenley at 9.5 months.

Summer of 2014 was filled with many memories with friends, family and pool.  Kennedi was able to finally learn to swim across the pool to earn a wristband to be able jump off the diving board.  Tenley loved playing with her babies, swimming and of course keeping a watchful eye on Hunter.

Fall 2014 - Chris, the girls, Judy and I all had a vacation of a lifetime when we went to Disney World in November.  This vacation was filled with many magical memories I will cherish for a lifetime.  We stayed at Art of Animation in a suite and went to the parks all 6 days.  Some of the highlights included all our character meals but the special ones were with the princesses in Akerhaus in Epcot and in the Castle in Magic Kingdom.  Kennedi loved the daily parade at MK, dance party in the street and of course when Anna and Elsa lit the castle.  Tenley loved pushing her stroller around and the little roller coaster (barnstomer) in MK...both of their eyes lit up when they saw Anna and Elsa.

Our holidays were great, busy as always but such a special time of year to re-charge and spend time with loved ones.  Kennedi and Tenley were super excited for Santa and loved all their gifts.  Hunter actually was into the entire process and loved opening his gifts and trying to peek at what it was before it was completely open.

Look forward to capturing the memories with our family.
