Joy Rides in our Front Lawn

Well the Homan household has had our share of cars in our front lawn the past two days :). We could start a used car lot! Let me explain...

We had a car lose control on the curve in front of our home and the driver took a quick joy ride around the front lawn in front of our garage and hitting our tree while he/she was on the way out. Whoever decided to make a few tracks in our lawn decided not to let us know that they just had a joy ride our lawn before heading out via our driveway.

Then, Monday as I am working at home my dogs begin barking and barking at the front door. After a few failed attempts to get them to stop barking I finally got up from work to see what the noise was all about. To my amazement a 2nd car was in our front yard on the other side this time. A lady in our subdivison also hit some patch that was slick and went straight up our driveway and off to the left of the driveway through our lawn. So, after all the hard work by Chris and lawn companies to get our lawn looking great we now have lots of tire tracks through our entire front lawn. We are thankful no one was hurt.

Other than the lovely weather and eventful cars in our lawn things are pretty quiet and uneventful in our home. Kennedi continues to grow and become a big girl so fast. She loves her food and she has been sleeping in her crib pretty well each night. We have been so thankful she has been so healthy most of the winter thus far and hope that continues. Kennedi continues to roll like a champ and she is sitting on her own already!

Also, I wanted to say congrats to our neighbors and friends - Nick and Tricia who welcomed home a beautiful baby girl on Sunday Jan 25th (her actual due date). Addison, Mom and Dad are doing well and I can't wait to meet her and hold a newborn again.

Enjoy the recent pictures of Kennedi Sue in her Bumbo we are borrowing from my sweet cousin Amy. Thanks Amy for letting Kennedi us it, we love it....

Well we are surviving the cold weather and lovely snow this winter. Kennedi got the chance to sit in the snow for the first time and wasn't really enjoying the time because she was so bundled up she couldn't move much, lol. I wanted to post pictures to show everyone our little snow bunny.

Also, tonight we tried the new bathtub we recieved as a gift from Steve and Terri - Kennedi LOVES the duck tub. Any new mom or soon to be mom, I totally recommend this little duck tub. You can get it at any walmart or target, it quacks too!

Kennedi is also eating baby food and loves her squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, sweet peas and fruits. She still hates green beans and I don't blame her at all for not liking the beans. She is also starting to drink out of a sippy cup or we are at least trying to get her to learn how to hold it. She decides most time she wants to chew on it and just bites down and uses it as a teething toy LOL.

PS..the one picture is what Kennedi's hair looks like each morning so we decided to finally record it and show it off to everyone. She has some serious bed head.

Now for the part you all were waiting for...pictures of Miss Kennedi herself.

Happy New Year

It's been awhile since I updated my blog with what's been happening in the Homan household. We had a wonderful x mas with family and friends and rang in the new year with a little festive celebration with friends.

Kennedi got to see Santa for the 1st time and she just starred at him trying to figure out what the white beard was all about. She also got lots of gifts from both grandparents - lovely rocking horse that makes noises from Grandma Kremer and lots of clothes, 1st baby dolls and a cute little pink chair from Grandma Homan. I have included various pictures from the month of December of our growing girl.

We are thankful for our family & friends & blessed with a miracle of Kennedi this past year. May the new year be filled with many more memories with Kennedi and everyone remains happy and healthy in 2009.

Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone, why not follow-up the Thanksgiving post with a Christmas post :). Kennedi has not been sleeping very well, which we thought was in part because she is in her big girl crib now. But, I decided to take Kennedi to the doctor this evening and it turns out she has an ear infection. She is taking after her mom in the ear ache department and I hope this doesn't mean tubes are in our future. I am thankful we have an answer to why she wasn't eating or sleeping well and I hope the antibiotics kick in to help her discomfort. She has been a trooper through all of this!

Well we finally got our x mas photos back and I wanted to post a few below.

Kennedi Loves to Eat

How could I forget to post the pictures of Kennedi eating her 1st bites of "food", baby cereal. We have started this at night and she really likes the cereal and always wants more. She is a hungry monkey.

4 Months Old

Time goes by so fast...Kennedi is already 4 months old. She is getting so big and really starting to talk or should say more like a screaming at the top of her lungs. She loves looking at herself and belly giggling when people play with her. She also knows what she wants and will arch her back and scream until she gets what she wants. Not sure who she gets that from, umm maybe Daddy :).

We went to go get holiday pictures last weekend and she did such a good job. It's so stressful getting her dressed and making sure she doesn't poop through her diaper or puke all over the outfit before taking the photos. Then, you need to wait and hope she doesn;t get hungry while taking the photos and last but not least want to make sure she has some sort of smile on her face during it. I am glad they are over and she looked so cute on most pictures. It was the first time the whole family was in a professional picture since she has been born, so sad. I will post once I have the pictures in hand.

We had her 4 month appt last week and her stats are:
Weight - 15 pounds, 12 ounces
Height - 26 inches

And what you all were waiting for...pictures of Kennedi.

Hanna and Mason

My sister, Kendra, just sent to all of us pictures of her kids at Halloween. (twins Hanna and Mason). I wanted to share with all the readers of my blog since they are adorable. They are getting so big so fast! Soon, they will have a brother or sister joining them.
